Simulation System
Seoul Metro Line 9 operates FTS (Full Type Simulator), a full-function simulator, as well as PTS (Personal Type Simulator) and CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) to improve the skills of operators drivers. CAI is an online learning system with which operators drivers can learn about the railway system and troubleshooting. We also have instructor’s control seat that has access to both FTS and PTS and trainee lounge where trainees can watch FTS training in real-time.

Full Type Simulator (FTS)
- Motion system and 3D images for realistic.
- Teaches and evaluates all major procedures of driving.
- Trains troubleshooting and responses to unexpected/abnormal situations (problems with major equipment, fire, fallen passenger, disconnected trolley wire, etc).
- Provides various training scenarios using scenario editor.
- Self-diagnostic feature to ensure safety of trainees and systems.
Personal Type Simulators (PTS)
- 3D images for realistic simulation.
- Teaches and evaluates all basic procedures of driving.
- Trains troubleshooting and responses to unexpected/abnormal situations (problems with major equipment, fire, fallen passenger, disconnected trolley wire, etc).
- Provides various training scenarios using scenario editor.
- Spontaneous training feature enables repetition of selected scenarios.
Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI)
- Multimedia interface attracts attention.
- Systemized management system for improved understanding of basic principles and configurations.
- Automatic training function to allow selective training for each individual level of competency.
- Training function for various accident cases to improve the ability to connect theory with practice.
